ATL Roofing Pros Completes Roofing Repair in Suwanee Ga
As a very successful Atlanta roofing contractor, we’ve experienced many situations over the years that were extremely frustrating. Some of the situations were frustrating for only me as the contractor. I’m sure you can imagine some of the customers/homeowners we’ve dealt with. Some people are just difficult to deal with and virtually impossible to make happy. However I do want to ad that most homeowners are very polite and enjoyable to work with.
What Happens If Insurance Claim is Denied?
However the most frustrating situations for me over the years have been equally as frustrating for my customers. The situations I’m referring to are denied insurance claims. Every now and then we come up on a roof that we just simply can’t get approved for hail or wind damage. For the homeowner it’s a slap in the face, especially when every house surrounding them has recently had their roofs approved by their insurance companies.
Typically when this happens it’s because of certain insurance companies. I won’t be naming any names in this article but there are a couple that just flat don’t treat their customers the way they should in my opinion.
Often these roofs that are not approved do have enough damage that they need to have a roof repair done on them. Many times there will be shingles missing from being blown off by wind damage. In these cases the best option is to do a roof repair.

As you see in the video, we replaced approximately 15 – 3 tab shingles on that customer’s asphalt shingle roof. As you probably also noticed the new shingles did not appear to match very well on certain slopes. This is due to the way the existing roof shingles have weathered over the years.
Why Shingles Don’t Always Color Match on Roof Repair
Notice that in some areas on this roof repair in Suwanee Ga the existing roof didn’t match the new shingles very well. Some of the areas had mildewed over the years worse than other areas and appear to be much darker in color. This is due to the direction the slope on the roof was facing. Just as moss always grows on the north side of a tree, the north facing slopes always have a greater problem of developing mildew on them.
Even though not all of the repaired shingles match as well as others, the roof repair was successful in adding a few more years to the life of the roof and the interior of the home is now much better protected. At least now there are no missing shingles, no exposed nail heads and no exposure of the roof decking that many times causes a roof leak.
